| I get asked often what my favorite photo of mine is... I think this is it. For many reasons, but mostly because I took it with intentions of it being a powerful image of the wall, able to show the vast amount of names on the wall while only showing partial names. the DOF worked out exactly as I planned, and everything just fell into place from there. -Matt |

The Guardian Angels ProjectJohn Paul Thornton, known here as :devjohnpaulthornton:, began painting portraits of missing children in 1990, when a young girl he knew was abducted. John Paul was determined to prove that art could deliver an emotional, meaningful message. He has continued on with this series for twenty years, calling it "Missing children: Paintings of Hope." His portraits, now numbering in the hundreds, have been displayed on the National Mall in Washington D.C., on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and in front of the White House.
